As a Contracts Administrator, you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter As a Contract Administrator supporting the US Air Force & Space Force customer, you will be trusted to work on the contractual activities directly in line with pre-award and post-award activities.

HOW A CONTRACTS ADMINISTRATOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
  • Administering contracts and/or subcontracts, including negotiation, correspondence, documentation, certification, financial reporting, and product delivery for major contracts
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders in support of US Air Force pre and post- award contractual opportunities
  • Negotiating contract terms from proposal stage to project close-out in accordance with relevant regulations
  • Coordinating approval of negotiations, contracts, and subcontracts with appropriate management staff
  • Providing advice and interpretation of contract requirements
  • Reviewing solicitation requests and GDIT proposal volumes to identify risk areas and ensure compliance with terms and conditions
  • Actively participating on proposal team which includes pricing and scheduling strategy, coordination of requirements, and proposal risk assessment
  • Participating in program reviews, status briefings and customer interaction whenever the contracting officer is involved
  • Coordinating with program managers and all matrixed organizations to ensure contract requirements are fulfilled
  • Maintaining, updates and communicating bid and proposal information
  • Providing guidance and work leadership to less-experienced contract administrators
  • Maintaining current knowledge of relevant contractual procedures and practices
  • Participating and offering opinions on proposal and program strategy
  • Initiating and maintaining an extensive network of communication with contracting specialists/officers
  • Participating in special projects as required
  • Your success will be measured through specific goals related to contracts acquisition support and Defense Division metrics

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree. In lieu of degree, six years minimum of related experience in contracts administration, subcontracts administration, procurement, and supply chain.
  • Required Experience: Two years of related experience in contracts administration, subcontracts administration, procurement, and supply chain
  • Required Skills and Abilities: Comprehensive knowledge of the practices, procedures, and processes involved in contract administration. Familiarity and hands on working knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, terms, conditions, and policies governing assigned contracts, including FAR and DFAR. Effective administrative and organizational skills. Effective communication skills. Ability to operate and negotiate independently.
  • Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
  • Required Technical Skills: Microsoft Office Suite
  • Location: This position will be working onsite at our GDIT facility in Falls Church, VA
  • US Citizenship required

The likely salary range for this position is $60,174 - $74,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
