Job Description

Seeking a Paraprofessional/Teacher's Assistant to support classroom activities and student needs in New Orleans and surrounding areas.

• Participate in teaching sessions, communicate with parents and school staff as needed, and assist in co-teaching lessons under the teacher's guidance.
• Lead small groups or individual instruction, review classwork, and supervise students both inside and outside the classroom.
• Attend to students' physical, personal, academic, and emotional needs, including diapering if necessary.
• Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, valid driver's license, ability to pass a background check, and a ParaPro assessment score of at least 450 or 48 semester credit hours. Classroom experience is required, with preferred experience working with children with Autism, CPI or de-escalation training, and CPR certification.
• Preferred candidates have at least 2 years of recent experience working with children in various settings.
