Job Description

Our client is seeking a Data Center Analyst for their primary location in Rochelle, IL.

This is a long-term contract opportunity.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform data center operations, including racking servers, network devices, and other equipment.
• Manage cabling, clean cable routing, and cable management.
• Resolve tasks provided via ServiceNow ticket tracking system.
• Assist with data center logistics, including shipping, provisioning, and decommissioning processes.
• Identify and resolve hardware problems, working with vendor support teams and submitting RMA requests.
• Manage asset and inventory of hardware and data center supplies.
• Respond to incidents around connectivity and power and assist other teams with troubleshooting devices.
• Provide emergency response to system outages outside working hours.
• Utilize telecommunications test equipment, including Fluke network testers, t-berd, network analyzers, and carrier circuit test gear.
• Design and plan for new builds and migrations independently.
• Maintain inventory and data center layout in a DCIM tool.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Basic knowledge of cabling, racking, and stacking.
• Experience in project management tasks, such as running meetings and interfacing with customers.
• Ability to work on planned migrations lasting up to a year.

Pay: 50-55/hr
