- Experience:
- - 10 years in computer design, software development, or computer networks (or 14 years with a Bachelor’s degree)
- - 5 years in engineering support, systems analysis, medical systems, information assurance, web development, or engineering management including Systems/Equipment support and Test and Evaluation support for C4ISR requirements
- - 3 years in information assurance/network protection or virtualization projects.
- Preferred Experience:
- - Experience with Cloud Service Provider environments such as NIWC Atlantic Data Center and Cloud Hosting Services, USAF CloudOne Services, NIWC Pacific Cosmos Services, Amazon Web Services, etc.
- - Familiarity with DevSecOps Rapid Assess and Incorporate Software Engineering version 2.0 (RAISE 2.0)
- - Experience with software tools including Asana, Atlassian Suite (Confluence, Jira, Bitbucket, Bamboo), and RedHat.
Responsibilities: - As a Computer Engineer IV supporting the Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) in Charleston, SC, I will lead the support and maintenance of the Navy's Theatre Medical Information Program (TMIP) software and Operational Medical applications. Here are the key responsibilities you will undertake:
- Serve as a Team Lead, providing oversight, guidance, and technical expertise for design, development, configuration, testing, cybersecurity, deployment, maintenance, and sustainment support of the TMIP family of Operational Medical software.
- Collaborate with Lead Government staff to develop plans and schedules for the maintenance and sustainment of Operational Medical applications.
- Engage in leadership for the analysis and resolution of tier 2 and 3 trouble calls.
- Prepare comprehensive documentation including system design, end-user training, and systems administration.
- Work with the Project Manager and other Team Leads to formulate detailed project plans and provide regular updates.
- Identify potential program risks and devise mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate closely with the Project Manager to plan and manage scope and levels of effort.
- Define and implement relevant software engineering processes throughout the project lifecycle.
- Participate in government IPTs and other technical meetings.
