PTO Vacation Holidays Sick time Bonuses Monday -Thursday 7am-4:30pm and Fridays 7am-11:30am Job Details Must Have the following qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent Graduate of technical school, or full apprenticeship program (Preferred) Minimum five (5) years set-up experience as a machinist with metal shop fabrication, welding, cutting, sanding, assembly, and installation. Ability to read prints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures. Ability to use mig and tig welders Experience with use of cold saw and band saws Grinding up to 6 disc/sanding DA /Die Cutters Drilling hand held and press/ Milling Job duties include but are not limited to the following: Welding, cutting and fabricating of metals and parts Set up components for welding according to specifications (e.g. cut material with powered saws to match measurements) Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded Align components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws Maintain equipment such as welders, cold saw, band saw, mill, and general tools in area and ensure they do not compromise safety Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements Utilizes precision instruments including but not limited to micrometers, calipers, depth micrometer, and other inspection equipment as needed Measures, examines, and tests completed units in order to detect defects. Measure and cut metal materials to specified dimensions. Studies sample parts, blueprints, drawings, and engineering information in order to determine methods and sequences of operations. Select the appropriate tools, machines, and materials to be used in preparation of machinery work and/or fabrication.
