Your Role: Professional Nursing Care

As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will:

• Provide professional nursing care to a group of assigned patients.
• Collaborate with medical staff and healthcare team members to ensure quality patient care.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to ancillary personnel.

Essential Functions

• Conduct triage training and recognize critical presentations (e.g., stroke, chest pain).
• Perform medication reconciliation and IV starts.
• Identify and address patient and family care needs promptly.
• Initiate discharge planning using an interdisciplinary approach.
• Educate patients and families about hospitalization, medications, and discharge instructions.
• Ensure safe medication practices and document patient responses.
• Assist in the orientation and training of new staff.

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.

Required Skills:

• Critical thinking skills and decisive judgment.
• Able to work in a stressful environment with minimal supervision.

Certifications:

• Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 3 months of hire.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 3 months of hire.
• Handle with Care training within 4 months of hire.

Licenses:

• Current RN license to practice in NC (NC licensure or multi-state compact license).

Minimum Work Experience: 1-3 years, with recent acute care experience preferred.
